Our neighbourhood has a variety of beaches.
World famous Shoal Bay has calm turquoise waters, powdery sand, 5 star Zemi beach hotel and many small barbecue shacks. On Sunday afternoons dance to Reggae beats at Gwen's seaside grill for some local flavour.
Captain's Bay is a deserted beach. It can be accessed by car or a 40 minute coastal hike. If the seas are rough it has incredibly stunning waves to watch.
Island Harbour Bay in the heart of the village is a lively gathering spot. Within its bay is Scilly Cay a 'Sunday Destination' that is accessed by a 5 minute free boat ride. Famous for its lobster & crayfish barbecue, rum punches and snorkelling.
Savannah & adjoining Junks Hole bays are both desserted beaches with the Palm Grove Beach Shack. About one mile long & with the name like Junk's Hole, it is a great beach to comb.
SandyHill Bay, lovely for swimming & coastal hiking.
